The National Dance Institute of New Mexico and the University of New Mexico Dance Department present the 9th Annual New Mexico Tap Dance Jam on Friday, June 20th and Saturday, June 21st—see the sister-dance of swing, which claims distant roots in Africa, along with the beloved lindy hop and jitterbug.

This coming Monday, May 12th, will be the official re-launch of Monday night swing dancing in Santa Fe:
Beginner lesson from 7 - 8pm / Dance from 8 - 10:30pm
$10 for lesson and dance / $5 dance only ($2 off for students)
After a few weeks off, Mike Garcia and the Santa Fe crew are re-launching Monday night dances with a special event featuring 2 DJ's, a beginner lesson, and munchies. Let's show up and show our support!

Hosted by UNM's Jitterbug's Anonymous, this full weekend will include social dancing in Santa Fe (Friday Night) and Albuquerque (Saturday and Sunday Nights) along with world-class instruction in Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Charleston from two of the best swing dancers coming out of southern California. Free to UNM students, $40 for everyone else; registration at the door.
